What were you doing at 2am???
We have started the process of getting all of the necessary shots, paperwork etc. to get the dogs to Singapore. We needed a stool sample of each dog...sounds simple, but when you have two dogs you can't just head out to the backyard and scoop some poop into the container. Callie had woken up during the night, and when I walked down from tucking her back into bed, Buster was standing at the back door. I sort of got excited thinking that I might get Buster checked off the list and followed him out there. Alas, he had to poop...just as I had suspected. So there I was, at 2am...scooping Busters poop into a vial. I laughed at how accomplished I felt! : ) It's the little things in this whole process that just make you have to laugh!
Ummm...where?
Ray has visited Singapore several times, and he has always said that it would be a place where he would be open to doing an expat assignment someday. We have both always said that we would welcome an international assignment before Brayden and Callie get to an age that it would be too difficult to take them out of school, activities etc. It is a little different saying that and actually making the decision to move to the other side of the world. When a great career opportunity in singapore was offered to ray, we spent several days talking, praying, making lists, talking to family and close friends and just trying to decide what the best decision was for our family. Long story short, we will be moving to Singapore after the holidays! Still sounds crazy to say!! Sometimes I can't believe we are doing it...so far, all of the unknowns, so far from so many people the we love...but then I think about how I have always been such a planner...those times in my life when things weren't planned...I learned/grew so much! I will miss our family immensely, but I am excited to take this opportunity to grow/learn and see what God has in store for us...in Singapore!
